What Doorman does
Doorman replies to Instagram direct messages and comments on your behalf, using the information you write into it. It is a tool you operate, not an agency that acts on its own judgement.
What you are responsible for
- Everything the bot says. It only knows what you put in it, and it repeats your offer, price and answers to real people. Keep them accurate.
- Having the right to use any account you connect.
- Following Instagram's rules. Meta can suspend your account for breaking them, and we cannot appeal that for you.
What we do not allow
Cold outreach to people who have not contacted you. Selling anything illegal. Impersonating someone else. Using Doorman to deceive people about what is being sold or who is selling it. We may suspend an account for any of these without a refund.
Paying
- Plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance through Stripe, in US dollars.
- The free trial needs no card and charges nothing when it ends.
- Cancel any time from the billing page. Your plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for, then stops. We do not pro-rate part months.
- If a payment fails we retry for a few days before pausing your bots. Nothing is deleted.
- Prices can change with 30 days' notice by email. Your current period is never repriced.
Limits
Each plan includes a monthly number of bot replies. When you reach it, new conversations stop being answered until the period resets or you upgrade. Conversations already running finish normally.
What we do not promise
We do not promise any number of sales, replies or results. Doorman is a tool; how well it works depends on your offer, your audience and what you write into it. We do not promise uninterrupted service — we depend on Meta, Stripe, Anthropic and others, and their outages become ours.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the three months before the claim.
Ending it
You can close your account whenever you like, and doing so deletes your data — see data deletion. We can close an account that breaks these terms, and will refund any unused prepaid time unless the breach was deliberate.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Nothing here removes rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.
